Can water be used on transformer fires?
Properly designed water spray or water mist systems can be applied to transformer and energy hazards. Electrical and equipment-specific criteria must be evaluated as part of the project.
Is gaseous suppression sufficient for a transformer room?
That depends on the fire scenario, oil load, ventilation and cooling requirements. The same solution is not suitable for every transformer hazard.
Can F-500 EA® be used for transformer applications?
It may be considered as a special application where the selected system and the relevant product/test scope support the hazard.
