Endothermic-Additive Water Mist Approach
In endothermic water mist applications, fine water droplets are used together with a water-based suppression additive selected for the project. The objective is to improve heat transfer, cool burning surfaces and equipment and, in suitable scenarios, reduce the potential for fire growth or re-ignition.

Design Basis
System performance is evaluated together with the additive manufacturer’s current technical documentation, mixture concentration, nozzle characteristics, flow rate, application duration and the protected fire scenario. A generic extinguishing time or one universal mixture ratio is not assumed for every risk.
