From Yalova, DEMOFIRE provides marine and shipyard fire protection design support, installation, commissioning, maintenance and technical service primarily in Istanbul, Kocaeli and Bursa and, depending on project scope, in Izmir and throughout Türkiye. Yalova and Kocaeli are principal service regions for shipyards, ports and marine facilities.
Can land-based fire equipment be used on vessels?
Only where the equipment is suitable for marine use and complies with the relevant corrosion, class and flag requirements.
Can water mist be used in machinery spaces?
Yes, where the selected marine system has a tested or approved application scope for that hazard.
Do shipyards require separate fire protection measures?
Yes. Shipyard buildings, open work areas, hot-work activities and hazards on board vessels should be considered together but through distinct fire scenarios.
